Saying Bye to Pastor Money

Posted: July 12, 2009 by David Shaw in Information

Today is Pastor Money’s last day as our pastor.  In the less than two years as our shepard we have seen major improvements to our facilities, inside and out and a change in the atmosphere.

In this new chapter in his life he is tackling the continent of South America as a missionary for the Church of God World Missions department.  Please pray that this new endeavor will produce fruit for the kingdom of God.

Sunday Evening Study – Prayer

Posted: January 14, 2009 by David Shaw in Information

Last years Church of God General Assembly directed our churches to focus on prayer for the upcoming year.  As a result Church of God churches throughout the country are beginning the year studying prayer.  Our church is as well.  We began last Sunday night going through the book by P. Douglas Smalls titled “Prayer – The Heartbeat of the Church.”  This is the study resource from the Church of God for the churches to use.  We have copies to purchase here at the church for $7.  It is our plan to spend approximately six weeks in this study.

A link to the study book that has ordering options, video resources, information about the author and many other items is at Forward Together in Changing Times.

PrayerWe are excited to announce that we will be holding a Prayer Revival November 20-22, 2008 7:00 nightly. It will be a time where we can focus on God to praise Him and to seek His will for our church and us individually.

We will begin each service with a few worship songs followed by a devotional.  Those giving devotions are James Douglas during our Thursday night service, Johnny Jackson Friday night and David Shaw Saturday night.

We hope that everyone will be able to attend during each of the three nights.  It will be a wonderful time spent with our Lord and Saviour.  If you can not be in attendance please pray wherever you will be.
